Art Show Closing Party

We’ve been honored to display Adam Suerte’s art on our wall for the past few months. Join us in celebrating the finale of his first solo show.
Adam Suerte is a multifaceted artist born and raised in South Brooklyn. He studied at Music and Art High School, The Art Students' League and the Rhode Island School of Design.
While studying Illustration, he found himself drawn to a variety of mediums, many of which he continues to work in today. Painting, drawing, comic-making, and graphic design are the most prevalent. His color palette is a crapshoot. While he is partially colorblind, he may leave color up to his own devices, or ask his longtime collaborator and studio mate Jason Mitchell to help out depending on what’s called for.
In 1991 he founded the Urban Folk Art® Studios artist collective and in 2002 he co-founded the full custom tattoo studio Brooklyn Tattoo®, both still active in Brooklyn today.
Whether it’s Brooklyn cityscapes familiar to him, or graphic urban iconography, these themes are consistent throughout the various mediums his work lives in....then there are the ghosts.
